YONEX has redesigned the beam for greater stability and made the sweetspot slightly wider for an even more forgiving response.
New technologies include the Liner Tech system, which reduces friction between the string and the frame for greater comfort and power. This technology also features denser string spacing in the center for control, with wider string spacing at the edges for less shock on off-center hits.
To improve frame stability and optimize flex at impact, YONEX adds a unique elastic and resilient graphite, called M40X, to the string head. This racquet also features a vibration-damping mesh in the handle for less vibration and a cleaner feel at impact.
ISOMETRIC: Developed over 30 years ago, the ISOMETRIC design increases the sweetspot by 7%. Compared to a traditional round frame, a square-shaped ISOMETRIC racquet generates a larger sweetspot by optimizing the intersection of the main and cross strings. ISOMETRIC technology provides greater control without sacrificing power.
TECH LINER (for more power and comfort): Straight-hole grommets lengthen the strings to optimize power and comfort on off-center hits.
OPS (Oval Pressed Shaft): Introduced in 1969 with the T-7000—our first aluminum tennis racquet—the Oval Pressed Shaft (OPS) is still incorporated into our most popular racquet series today. The Oval Pressed Shaft is designed to give players more spin, control, and feel. The shaft flexes at impact, increasing dwell time and minimizing vibration.
Vibration Dampening Mesh (VDM): First used in our snowboards to reduce vibrations on impact, Vibration Dampening Mesh (VDM) is now used in four of our snowshoe series. VDM is a stretchy mesh material that is wrapped around the graphite in the grip to filter unwanted vibrations and improve feel and precision.
2G-Namd Speed: High modulus graphite fibers are bonded to a carbon nanotube (CNT) structure, reducing energy loss, allowing energy to be transferred in a rapid return.
AERO SHAPE DESIGN: An inverted frame design with a thinner frame face results in a smoother racquet.
SHAFT DESIGN: A thicker handle structure with a convex design reduces unwanted racket torque on off-center hits for more power.
